FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I have the gas supply for my hob in the kitchen?

Yes, a 9kg connected cylinder in a cupboard next to the hob; but not underneath it. The cupboard must be vented.

Do I need 1 or 2 gas cylinders?

This depends on what you have installed.
One is fine for a stove or hob;
Two cylinders are preferable for a gas water heater or fireplace as you don’t want to run out of gas when taking a shower!

Do I need to have my gas cylinder in a cage?

This is not required for domestic use unless regulated by a Body Corporate.

If I have my gas supply outside my house can it be next to the back door?

Yes, although the following conditions apply:
Minimum of 1m from a door or window;
2m from an open drain;
5m from an electrical source i.e. air-conditioning unit; pool pump; plug point; switchboard;
3m and a firewall from a thatch roof.

  PALOMA GAS WATER HEATERS

GAS WATER HEATERS

Gas Water Heaters are the preferred method of efficiently heating water around the world because they heat water on demand.

Only when you turn on the hot tap will the unit start to produce hot water, meaning extremely high efficiency and very little heat loss.

Gas Water Heaters are measured by the ‘flow rate’ of hot water they can deliver.
